I am an employment law lawyer licensed in Florida, dedicated to protecting my clients. When you hire an attorney, you want experienced and aggressive representation. As a veteran of the U.S. Army, I know how to fight for my clients' rights. I will work closely with you, explaining where your case stands and what your options are at every stage of the case. You can rest easy knowing that you and your case are of the utmost importance to me.
It is my mission to make sure that your legal needs are handled professionally, expediently, and with unsurpassed communication. I strive to provide clients with dedicated, caring, thorough, and aggressive representation. Although, employment law is my primary practice area, I also practice workers' compensation. This is because workers' compensation law in Florida allows a client to file a civil suit for retaliation if the client is terminated from his or her employment because of his or her workers' compensation claim. If my client is terminated because of the workers' compensation claims, I am able to protect his or her interests in both cases. In Florida, retaliation arises not just in workers' compensation claims but, can also arise from cases of discrimination, whistle-blowing, and the need to take FMLA leave.
The diversity of a law practice into potential areas where clients might need an experienced attorney through multiple potential cases helps me to protect my clients' rights even when there may be more than one violation the law arising from one initial incident. This is why I also practice personal injury. A client's injury arising out of an accident, may require the client to take extended leave. Extended leave may be covered by the Family Medical Leave Act, short-term disability, or employment discrimination laws, such as disability discrimination. If this arises, I am here and available to assist my clients. If the short-term disability is denied, I am experienced in appealing short-term disabiltiy denials and long-term disability denials should the need arise.
Clients will consult with me about a variety of other issues as well. I often review new hire documents such as employment contracts, non-compete agreements, restrictive covenants, and non-disclosure agreements as well as severance packages.
Sometimes clients do not know why they lost their jobs. They only know that something just was not right because they felt wrongfully terminated. Wrongful termination arises from a variety of laws. Wrongful termination may be retaliation, discrimination or even sexual harassment. Hostile work environments arise from these types of claims as well. I want my clients to feel they are protected by a dedicated, caring, thorough, and aggressive attorney. When you hire Lyne Law, P.A., you hire a lawyer, not a paralegal or legal secretary. Your case will not be handed off to staff to work on. I will work your case from start to finish. Please take your time and review my website.
